What an amazing literary work! I was totally captivated from the first page to last, yet left wanting more when the last word was read. The beauty, rhythm, and symbolism of Suzette Harrison’s writing is exceptional. And her in-depth attention to plot and character development, along with historical accuracy and flow, place her squarely in the rare air of such writers as J. California Cooper, Toni Morrison, and Beverly Jenkins. Kudos to Suzette Harrison for a remarkable literary gem. I eagerly await reading more by this extremely talented wordsmith.
